Utilizing the seasonal ingredients from the Shonai area, the Hourai Kaiseki is a luxurious and highly classed cuisine.
The powerful, but delicate at the same time, ingredients both from the ocean and the mountains, are handled by the expert chefs who fully utilized the characteristic of each ingredients, composing a delightful Japanese dish. Each of the dishes will be served with authentic traditional Japanese bowls.

The diverse seasons of Shonai

Cherry salmon and bamboo shoot for Spring, Ainame (fish), Soi (fish), oysters, Squids and Dadacha beans (special kind of soy beans) for Summer, Autumn salmon, flounder and red snapper for Autumn, Sailfin sandfish, crab and Cold Cod (fish) for Winter.

Everyday, we work toward perfecting our craft of being able to fully utilize the characteristics of the highly graded ingredients, such as the Yonezawa Beef, and the natural products of the Shonai nature. Meals are a once-in-a-lifetime chance for a person to encounter a fulfilling dish.
